La Financière de l’Echiquier appoints Ivan Diez Sainz Country Head Spain, Portugal & Latam
La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ivan Diez Sainz as Country Head Spain, Portugal & Latam, effective from 22.04.2024.
Based in Madrid, Ivan reports to John Korter, Head of European Sales. His role is to step up LFDE’s business development in the Iberian market and in LatAm.
Present in the Iberian market since 2011, LFDE markets a range of primarily equity and multi-asset strategies in the region. Backed by its long-term shareholder, LBP AM, LFDE is positioned as one the main conviction-driven European equity managers. By leveraging LBP AM’s extensive investment expertise, LFDE will be able to expand its range, notably across real and private assets.

About Ivan Diez Sainz
Ivan Diez Sainz began his career in 2001 at Capital at Work Av, where he was later appointed Managing Director and Head of Institutional Business Development for Spain in 2007. In 2008, Ivan joined Groupama Asset Management as Head of Institutional Business Development for Iberia and became Country Head for Iberia & Latin America in 2015. Ivan then moved to Lonvia Capital in 2020, where he served as Partner & Director for Southern Europe, Latin America and offshore US. He was appointed Country Head Spain & Portugal at LFDE in April 2024. Ivan holds a degree in Mathematics, specialising in computer sciences, from Complutense University in Madrid.
