Chief Investment Officer
Olivier de Berranger is a graduate of HEC. Since 1990, he has successively fulfilled the positions of trader and trading desk manager on derivatives and cash interest rate products at Crédit Lyonnais and Calyon. He then became manager for the Capital Markets sector at First Finance, a consulting and training company. He joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in March 2007 as a bond manager. He is specifically in charge of the bond component of Echiquier Patrimoine fund and manages Echiquier ARTY and Echiquier Credit Europe. In 2017 he is nominated Chief Investment Officer and becomes part of the Management Committee. In April 2019, he also became Deputy CEO.

With a PhD in applied mathematics, a Master’s degree in market finance and capital management and a postgraduate degree (DEA Laure Elie) in statistics and random modelling, Matthieu is also an actuary. He began his career in 2002 at Oddo & Cie as a quantitative analyst for derivative products before joining Natixis AM with responsibility for financial engineering. In 2008 he joined EDRAM to set up a financial engineering department and then in 2013 created SIMAFIN (Société d'Ingénierie Mathématique et Financière), a provider of quantitative solutions. At Montpensier Finance, Matthieu works on core investment processes and the development of decision-making tools and methods. He joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in 2017 as Deputy Chief Investment Officer.

Portfolio manager at Indosuez Asset Management, Crédit Agricole Asset Management and Oddo Asset Management, she then spent 7 years in Geneva at Pascal Investment Advisers. Stéphanie Bobtcheff joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in September 2013 as a portfolio manager in the small and mid-cap team.

After a diploma in chartered accounting and a DESS postgraduate degree in tax law, José Berros joined the audit firm of Ernst & Young before moving to HSBC Private Bank where he was a director and responsible of the holdings of a capital investment fund. He joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in 2005, where he managed the Echiquier Neteor fund and then the Echiquier Junior fund. He is now a portfolio manager in the small and mid-cap team.

A graduate of the EDHEC Business School, Adrien Bommelaer began his career in 1997 as a sell-side analyst in London at Credit Suisse. In 2005, he became an analyst for the hardware and semiconductor sector. In 2012 he became a member of the global portfolio management team of Alliance Trust Investments before joining the Sustainability Investment Team. In 2016 he became the co-manager for global funds. Adrien was appointed partner at Lion Trust asset management when it acquired ATI. In 2017 he joined La Financière de l’Echiquier as co-manager of Echiquier Major SRI Growth Europe.

Graduate from IESEG and holder of an MA in Finance and Investment from Nottingham University, Maxime Lefebvre, CFA, started his career in 2003 as a marketing officer at Amundi in Hong-Kong and then at La Française des Placements in Paris. In 2007, after passing the CFA, he joined the portfolio management team of La Française des placements and spent 5 years as a portfolio manager in European equities. He moved in 2014 to La Banque Postale Gestion Privée, as a portfolio manager, where he developed a specific know-how on "value" stocks. Maxime Lefebvre joined La Financière de l'Echiquier in 2015, in order to strengthen our "value" team.

After working as a sell-side analyst at CM-CIC Securities before turning to audit (KPMG), Romain Ruffenach joined SMA Gestion in 2013, in the Equity Long Only unit. Romain notably became manager of the company’s benchmark European equity fund. A graduate of Audencia Business School, Romain also holds a Master of Finance degree from the Ohio State University Fischer College of Business. He joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in 2018 as co-manager of Echiquier Value Euro.

After graduating from SKEMA Business School (sustainable development degree), followed by several internships in this field and after gaining valuable experience in microcredit, Coline began her career as a responsible investment product specialist in 2014 at BNP Paribas Wealth Management. She joined La Financière de l'Échiquier in February 2017 as an SRI analyst. In 2020, she became Head of ESG-Research.

Mathieu Barbara graduated from Sup de Co Reims and completed a two-year master’s degree at the IAE de Créteil, specialising in portfolio management. After starting out as a consultant at Ernst & Young, he spent a year working as a small and mid-cap analyst at BNP. He joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in 2014 to work primarily on Echiquier Agenor and Echiquier Entrepreneurs.

A graduate of the ISEG Finance School of Lyon with a master's degree in trading and asset management from ESLSCA Business School Paris, Philbert began his professional experience as an analyst at Financière d'Uzès and then MidCap Partners. Philbert joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in 2018, after completing a six-month internship in the small & mid cap team.

Holder of the Magistère Banque Finance Assurance of Paris-Dauphine University and a Master’s degree from Bocconi University, Louis Porrini began his career in 2014 at BlackRock as an assistant manager on equity funds. He joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in 2018 as an analyst on the Echiquier Agressor fund.

Antoine Fabre holds a master's degree in economics and international finance from Bordeaux. He began his professional career by doing a first internship at EOS Allocations and then a second in the tendering department at Allianz Global Investors. In 2019, Antoine joined the SRI team at La Financière de l'Échiquier as an SRI analyst.

Graduated with a Master's degree in Sustainable Development and Corporate Responsibility from the University of Paris Dauphine, Fanny began her career by doing a first internship in the Sustainable Development Department of Galeries Lafayette, then a second experience as a CSR consultant in extra audit -Financial to KPMG France. In January 2020, she joined La Financière de l'Échiquier on an internship as a financial and SRI analyst, before being recruited as an SRI analyst within the ESG Research team in July 2020.

In June 2006, he helped to create Acropole AM, the leading French management company specialised in convertible bonds. Following the merger with La Financière de l’Echiquier in March 2013, he took over as head of convertible bond fund management.

Anne-Claire joined the La Financière de l’Echiquier collective management team in March 2018, as a fund manager and analyst.

He was appointed to the Convertible Bonds team at La Financière de l’Echiquier in September 2014 to enhance its breadth of expertise. Since July 2017 Guillaume is also co-manager of Echiquier ARTY.

After acquiring substantial experience from different departments of the Rivoli Fund Management, he joined Stamina AM in 2008 as a quantitative analyst. He accordingly contributed to developing quantitative strategies to support decision-making processes and created valuation and risk management programmes. In 2009, he was responsible for modelling for quantitative funds at Stamina AM and since July 2011 has managed the entire quantitative range including notably the Echiquier QuantoStars fund. Benjamin joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in March 2018.

He joined La Financière de l’Echiquier in March 2018.

Graduated from ISAM-IAE Nancy in 2010, Enguerrand Artaz began his career at BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Luxembourg in discretionary management. In 2014, he joined La Financière de l'Echiquier and the Collective Investment Management team, where he worked on fund analysis and macroeconomics. In charge of external fund selection since 2017, he has been managing several allocation funds and mandates since 2018, in particular the Echiquier Allocation Flexible fund.

Graduated from ISAM-IAE Nancy in 2010, Enguerrand Artaz began his career at BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Luxembourg in discretionary management. In 2014, he joined La Financière de l'Echiquier and the Collective Investment Management team, where he worked on fund analysis and macroeconomics. In charge of external fund selection since 2017, he has been managing several allocation funds and mandates since 2018, in particular the Echiquier Allocation Flexible fund.

After his Master’s degree in Finance from Paris Dauphine University, Ludovic started his career at HDF Finance, a pioneer of hedge fund selection in France, as a quantitative analyst for alternative funds. He spent 8 years within the company, becoming, in 2006, fund picker, risk manager and member of the risk control committee and then manager of systematic trading strategies in 2011. He joined La Financiere de l’Echiquier in 2013 as manager of the Echiquier QME Global and Echiquier QME.

He joined HDF Finance in 2003 where he was successively analyst, alternative fund picker, alternative fund manager in 2008 and finally systematic strategy manager in 2011. In 2013 he joined la Financiere de l’Echiquier to manage the Echiquier QME Global and Echiquier QME.
