La Financière de l’Echiquier reinforces its value management

La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) announces the appointment of Romain Ruffenach, effective 6 November 2018, as co-manager of Echiquier Value Euro. Romain Ruffenach, joins the management team led by Olivier de Berranger and will be assisting Maxime Lefebvre, co-manager of Echiquier Value Euro.

Launched in December 2012, Echiquier Value Euro is a stock-picking fund investing in European equities significantly undervalued or in a turnaround phase. It exemplifies LFDE’s historic expertise in value stock picking based on in-depth knowledge of the companies. At 31 October 2018 it had assets under management of €642 million.

“With Romain’s arrival, we have strengthened our capacity to identify European stocks in a turnaround phase and undervalued business models at key moments for value management expected to profit sooner or later from value catch up” commented Olivier de Berranger, Chief Investment Officer.

Romain’s career and management philosophy provides a perfect fit with La Financière de l’Echiquier’s DNA and entrepreneurial spirit. His technical expertise and experience will be genuine assets” added Didier Le Menestrel, LFDE’s Chairman.
