LFDE engages in impact investing with the GIIN
La Financière de l’Échiquier (LFDE) announces its membership in the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), the first global initiative dedicated to impact investing.
The missions of the GIIN aim to strengthen the transparency, methodologies and scale of impact investing in the investment world. Every year, the GIIN Investor Forum brings together investors from around the world and personalities from the Positive Impact finance ecosystem to develop this market and exchange best practices.
LFDE was one of the first French management companies to launch, in 2017, an impact solution, Echiquier Positive Impact Europe, whose selection process for listed companies is based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN. LFDE publishes each year the impact report on this SRI-labelled SICAV, an approach that allows a transparent assessment of the real impact of investment on people and the planet.
Sonia Fasolo, SRI Manager :
In our view, impact is the new frontier for SRI. That is why we have launched an impact fund, which demonstrates that intentionally investing in companies with measurable social and / or environmental impact also generates financial performance.
« LFDE’s adherence to the GIIN is natural. It reflects our desire to share our thinking and feed our impact investing practices advancing the positive impact of listed markets on the real economy » commented Olivier de Berranger, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Investment Management assets.
