La Financière de l'Echiquier expands its Responsible Investment teams: 5 new professionals are joining the team including Paul Merle, European equities manager, responsible investment specialist
A pioneer in sustainable investment in France, La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) is expanding its teams further, adding five new professionals with the goal of enhancing its sustainable offering, as demonstrated by the recent launch of a climate impact strategy. LFDE’s Responsible Investment currently offers 6 SRI-labelled funds,amounting to almost 35% of the company’s total assets (vs. 8% at the end of 2018).
-Expansion of the European SRI large cap growth equity team
LFDE is pleased to announce the arrival of Paul Merle as of 1 December 2020 as senior fund manager in the SRI European large cap Growth and impact equity team.
Paul Merle is rated AAA by Citywire and a portfolio manager known for his expertise in Responsible Investment. Alongside Adrien Bommelaer, key senior fund manager of LFDE’s Responsible Investment solutions, and Luc Olivier, appointed fund manager of LFDE’s European positive impact strategy this year, Paul will notably put his expertise to the management of the new climate impact fund.
Marion Cohet Boucheron, financial analyst, has also joined the team.

Coline Pavot, Head of the Responsible Investment research team, now heads a four-person team, as were welcomed Valentin Vigier and Fanny Herbaut, extra-financial analysts.
-Client services team
LFDE also announces the arrival of Corentin Hervé in charge of SRI topics in the client service team.

About Paul Merle ǀ European SRI large cap growth equity manager
With a master’s degree in finance from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and 20 years of experience, Paul Merle, CIIA, began in 2001 at Banque CPR as an internal auditor before joining Federis Gestion d’Actifs in 2003, where he became head of SRI research in 2010. In 2016, Paul Merle joined Banque Postale Asset Management as an SRI manager-analyst and in January 2019 became a sustainable thematic equity manager, with about 3 billion euros under management.
About Marion Cohet Boucheron ǀ Analyst
With a master’s degree in finance from IESEG in 2013 and a Bachelor degree in law from the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne in 2014, Marion Cohet Boucheron began as a sell-side analyst in 2013, first at Raymond James, then at Mainfirst/Stifel, where she covered various consumer sectors. She joined LFDE in October 2020 as an analyst on the European SRI large cap growth management team.
About Valentin Vigier ǀ Extra-financial analyst
A holder of a master’s degree in management from IESEG, Valentin Vigier began his professional career in 2015 as an analyst at Deloitte Tax Consulting Luxembourg. He joined Trusteam Finance in 2016 as an SRI analyst, before moving on to LFDE’s Sustainable Investment team in September 2020.
About Fanny Herbaut ǀ Extra-financial analyst
With a master’s degree in sustainable development from the University of Paris-Dauphine, Fanny Herbaut joined LFDE as an SRI analyst in July 2020.
About Corentin Hervé ǀ SRI Client Service Analyst
A graduate in finance from Toulouse Business School, Corentin Hervé joined Indosuez Wealth Management Group in 2016, before moving on to Edmond de Rothschild AM as a sales assistant and then junior salesperson for institutional clients. After a stint as an RFP analyst at Banque Postale AM since 2019, he joined LFDE’s CRM team in September, in charge of SRI issues.
