LFDE joins the call to fight climate change

La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) has signed the Global Investor Statement to Governments on the Climate Crisis, 2021. This mobilisation, ahead of the COP 26, which will be held in November 2021 in Glasgow, aims to raise awareness of the climate crisis.

This collaborative commitment launched at the initiative of the Investor Agenda calls on governments to act on several priorities, including one concerning the implementation of the recommendations of the TCFD – Task Force Climate-related Financial Disclosures. The aim is to encourage states to adopt drastic measures to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 degrees and achieve a carbon neutral world by 2050.

Mobilised to meet the climate challenge, LFDE joins 587 international investors managing more than 46,000 billion dollars in assets. LFDE is thus pursuing its commitment, which has resulted in the adoption of a climate strategy in March 2021. In order to better control its exposure to climate risks, LFDE is undertaking, for example, to measure the physical and transition risks of SRI funds by the end of 2021, and of all other funds by the end of 2022. LFDE will continue its awareness-raising actions at the first Climate Meetings on 25 November.
