Appointments

La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) announces the appointment from 19 April 2019 of two Deputy CEOs, Olivier de Berranger, Chief Investment Officer, and Bertrand Merveille, Head of Private Client Management. They take over from LFDE co-founder Christian Gueugnier, whose appointment expired on 19 April and who will remain a director.

I am equally delighted to continue working alongside Christian Gueugnier, who has agreed to remain a director of LFDE.” said Christophe Mianné, Chief Executive Officer of LFDE.

About Olivier de Berranger

Chief Investment Officer of LFDE and member of the Management Board since 1 October 2017, Olivier de Berranger originally joined the company in 2007 as a fixed income portfolio manager before becoming head of fixed-income and balanced expertise. He had previously worked as a trader and head of the trading desk at Crédit Lyonnais and Calyon. He moved on to run First Finance’s Capital Markets division. Olivier remains co-manager of Echiquier ARTY and Echiquier Credit Europe.

Olivier de Berranger, 53, is a graduate of HEC.

About Bertrand Merveille

Bertrand Merveille began his professional career in 2003 at the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) before joining LFDE in 2011 as Head of Compliance and Internal Control. He moved on to become Head of Private Client Management and a member of the Management Board in 2016.

Bertrand Merveille, 38, holds a Masters in Financial Markets Law and Economics from the University of Caen.
