La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) announces the arrival of Jean-François Bay starting 15 May as Strategy, Development and International Director.

As a member of the executive committee, reporting to Didier Le Menestrel, Chairman and CEO of the company, he will be charged with building a strategic plan to strengthen LFDE’s presence across its customers’ networks in France and in international markets – wealth management advisors, institutional investors, private banks and family offices. Jean-François Bay will spearhead a team of 30, 10 of whom will focus their efforts on developing the company outside of France.

About Jean-François Bay

Jean-François Bay began his career in institutional sales with OFI AM, before joining an international company, Invesco. In 2000, he joined the alternative asset management company, ADI Gestion, as Sales Manager. In 2002 he created Seeds Finance et Multiratings, serving as the chief executive officer until its acquisition in 2010 by MorningStar, one of the leading providers of independent investment research. Jean-François Bay then became the Chief Executive Officer of Morningstar France, which today employs 50 people. Honorary member and Founder of the French association of institutional investors (AF2i), he earned a degree from the ISC Paris Business School with a specialty in finance.
