LFDE accelerates its international expansion with the appointment of Anne-Sophie Girault as Head of International Development

Paris, 15 April 2025│La Financière de l’Échiquier (LFDE) announces the appointment of Anne-Sophie Girault as Head of International Development. With over 25 years of experience in asset management, she will be responsible for strengthening LFDE’s international presence and structuring its development strategy in Europe and beyond. Anne-Sophie Girault took up her new role on 7 April and has joined LFDE’s Executive Committee.

This appointment marks a new milestone in the implementation of the ambitious roadmap that LFDE has been pursuing since joining LBP AM and integrating Tocqueville Finance. With more than €26 billion in assets under management and a solid presence in several key markets, LFDE aims to expand further across Europe and into new regions. Drawing on the expertise available within LBP AM, LFDE offers a broadened range of solutions combining conviction-based management and tailored offerings across listed assets – equities, multi-assets, credit and convertibles – and private markets, including infrastructure, corporate and real estate debt, and private equity. This dynamic will support LFDE’s ability to meet the needs of international clients more effectively.

“By creating the role of Head of International Development and appointing Anne-Sophie to this position, LFDE is taking a decisive step in its clearly stated ambition to accelerate its international growth. Anne-Sophie’s deep knowledge of international markets and proven leadership will be key assets in strengthening our position and appeal to investors across Europe,” said Olivier de Berranger, Chief Executive Officer of LFDE.

Vincent Cornet, Deputy CEO of LFDE and head of business development, said: “LFDE aims to become a leading asset management firm in Europe, where we already have a strong foothold, and to promote our expertise – and that of the LBP AM group – more broadly. Anne-Sophie’s arrival is a key step in this direction.”

Prior to joining LFDE, Anne-Sophie Girault was Managing Director, Head of Continental Europe at RBC BlueBay Asset Management, where she oversaw the business strategy for Continental Europe, representing more than $30 billion in assets under management, and managed a team of more than 30 people. She has also held senior positions at Aviva Investors, Fidelity International and ABN AMRO Asset Management.

“LFDE’s renewed momentum, combining long-standing expertise with new international ambitions, offers a great opportunity for growth and innovation. I am delighted to be joining the team and contributing to this exciting phase,” said Anne-Sophie Girault.
