La Financière de l'Echiquier announces the arrival of Bettina Ducat and modifies its governance
La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) announces the arrival of Bettina Ducat as Chief Executive Officer. This appointment, effective 1 July 2020, opens a new chapter in the asset manager’s history. In addition, LFDE is modifying its governance in order to adjust to the new challenges facing it. Its new governance set-up features the establishment of a Board of Directors, and an Executive Committee.
As LFDE’s new Chief Executive Officer and as Deputy CEO in charge of Asset Management of the Primonial Group, Bettina Ducat will be given the task of accelerating LFDE’s international development and its expansion in SRI, as well as giving new impetus to the design and development of sustainable and innovative financial solutions.

On the Board of Directors she will work closely with Olivier de Berranger, Deputy CEO and CIO, and Bertrand Merveille, Deputy CEO in charge of retail development.
LFDE also announces three internal appointments: Elsa Scoury as Chief Operating Officer, Caroline Farrugia as Chief Compliance Officer, and Edouard Duffour as General Secretary in charge of Finance, Operations, IT and General Resources.
LFDE’s Executive Committee will consist of the members of the Management Board, as well as:

- Anne-Laure Gelot, Head of Marketing & Communication
- Elsa Scoury, Chief Operating Officer
- Caroline Farrugia, Chief Compliance Officer
- Robert Véla, Head of French Institutional Investors & Wholesale

About Bettina Ducat
After earning a degree from EM Lyon Business School, Bettina Ducat began her career in 2001 as a strategy consultant for Accenture. She joined AXA IM in 2006, taking her place on the Management Board in 2018 and the head of Global Distribution at AXA IM in January 2019.
