LFDE strengthens its presence in Europe with the appointments of Samira Sadik, Country Head Switzerland, and Florian Friske, Country Head Germany & Austria

La Financière de l’Échiquier (LFDE) announces the appointments of Samira Sadik as Country Head Switzerland[1] and Florian Friske as Country Head Germany & Austria.[2] These appointments demonstrate LFDE’s commitment to significantly accelerating its growth in the DACH region, a strategic area for its European development and the deployment of its expertise.

Switzerland, where LFDE has been established since 2010, and Germany and Austria, where it has been present since 2007 and 2015 respectively, have a central role in the growth strategy of LFDE and the LBP AM Group. These appointments will provide LFDE with the key resources and expertise needed to consolidate its local presence. Both managers report to Anne-Sophie Girault, Head of International Development at LFDE.

Based in Geneva, Samira Sadik will oversee both French- and German-speaking Switzerland. Recognised as a professional in business development across all asset classes, she has over 20 years’ experience in asset management and a deep understanding of the Swiss market. Prior to joining LFDE, she was Head of Wholesale Switzerland at Lombard Odier Investment Managers. She has also held business development and key account management roles at Oyster Funds, among others. Her career demonstrates her clear ability to develop partnerships with independent asset managers, private banks and Swiss institutional investors. A graduate of Sciences Po Bordeaux and ESCP Europe Business School, Samira Sadik has also completed the Program for Swiss Board Members in Lausanne.

Based in Frankfurt, Florian Friske is responsible for Germany and Austria. With over 20 years’ experience in financial markets, fund distribution and serving wholesale and institutional clients in the region, Florian Friske previously held sales and product roles at leading institutions such as Berenberg, ODDO BHF AM, Commerzbank and Dresdner Kleinwort. In these roles, he developed in-depth knowledge of German and Austrian investors, as well as solid expertise in overcoming distribution challenges, structuring offerings and developing partnerships. Florian Friske is a graduate of CASS Business School in London.

“These two appointments mark an important step in accelerating the European development of LFDE and, more broadly, the LBP AM Group. Germany, Austria and Switzerland are key markets in which we are expanding our presence and strengthening our ties with investors. With Samira Sadik and Florian Friske, we are bringing on board two highly experienced professionals who share our European ambitions and our commitment to providing a quality service to our clients,” said Olivier de Berranger, Chief Executive Officer of La Financière de l’Échiquier (LFDE).

“We are delighted to welcome Samira and Florian to our international team. Their in-depth knowledge of their respective markets, the strength of their networks and their ability to forge strategic partnerships with local investors will be key assets in expanding the distribution of LFDE’s expertise and, more broadly, the solutions offered by the LBP AM Group, across Europe,” said Anne-Sophie Girault, Head of International Development at LFDE.
