La Financière de l’Echiquier creates the SRI School

La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) launches the SRI School to teach financial advisors about Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) issues.

Created in response to the lack of information and training on SRI, the SRI School is designed to provide mainly financial advisors and private bankers from LFDE’s bank clients with tools to better understand SRI, fight bias, especially preconceived notions about SRI not being compatible with performance 1 , and help them select SRI funds.

In beta testing since May 2019, this teaching programme is free of charge. Courses will take place in a classroom setting and small-group format as of September 2019 throughout France. More than 40 hours of training have already been completed internally by LFDE’s portfolio management teams and marketing teams, as well as by 130 partners. All participants are satisfied with the courses provided by LFDE’s SRI team.

Sonia Fasolo, SRI manager at La Financière de l’Echiquier:

Individual investors must all embrace SRI for it to develop. Our partners play a key role in raising awareness and informing this class of investors. But to do that, they must first be convinced of it themselves. That is the point of the SRI School.

Christophe Mianné, Chief Executive Officer of La Financière de l’Echiquier :

« The training programme is essential in spreading responsible investment. This initiative is in line with our SRI commitment, which will continue to strengthen. »
